A summer rose is a beautiful thing,
That is guarantee to come back every year.
It blossom and then dies at the end,
But always be there again next summer.
It brings memories of first love,
And the hardest good-bye in life.
It will never change in size or color,
Even though the world is changing around it.
I know that even though I'm growing older,
I can go to my favorite place and there is that same summer rose.
Still sparkling from the sun rays that shines on it,
Just like it did when I was a little girl.

I am a poet writing of pain
I am a person living in a life of shame.
I am your daughter hiding in my depression.
I am your sister making a good impression.
I am your friend acting like I am fine.
I am a wisher wishing this life weren't mine.
I am a young woman pushing her tears aside.
I am a person who doesn't have a clue.
I am a girl sitting next to you.
I am the one asking you to care.
I am your best friend letting you know that I will always be there.

The white stars stand out
Against the deep blue sky.
Their unique shape interests the wandering eye.
These strange little shapes are more than they seem,
For inside them they hold millions of wishes and dreams.

I am a very simple
A small town girl
One who perfers books
I have simple needs and wants
I wear my heart on my sleeve
I am a shy mouse who sits in her corner
I became a vibrant butterfly before my wings were clipped
I'd love to be that beautiful butterfly again
I slowly retreat to my corner
I am scared to show my true colours to the world
I shake and quiver from being nervous
Wondering what people will say
I am just a small town girl
With a big heart filled with love and hope to share with others
